Most Kubernetes trouble starts after go-live, when nobody on the team designed the cluster and nobody wants to touch it. We design and build AKS and EKS platforms in the New Zealand and Australian regions of Azure and AWS, with GitOps, security controls and observability in place from the first commit, then hand them over as code with your engineers trained to run them.
- 02 — Secure cloud and Kubernetes platforms
Security that starts with identity and ends with evidence.
The incident record in New Zealand and Australia points at the same failures every time: optional multi-factor authentication, over-privileged accounts, unmanaged third parties and misconfigured cloud. We harden cloud estates and clusters in that order, use Wiz.io to find what is actually exposed, and leave you with evidence your auditors and accreditors can use.
- 03 — Cloud and Kubernetes cost control
Cloud-smart. Costs you can see, and savings that pay for the work.
New Zealand’s digital leaders describe runaway licensing and cloud costs and a pivot from cloud-first to cloud-smart, and Australian organisations pay the same US-dollar list prices. We take ownership of what your platform costs, from Kubernetes nodes to reserved capacity, licences and AI usage, cut it with engineering rather than dashboards, and report it in terms your finance team can use. Inside Kubernetes we run Cast.ai, which resizes and reshapes clusters continuously from real usage, so the savings hold after we leave instead of decaying with the next deployment.
- 04 — AI and data on your own tenancy
From pilot to production, on data that is fit for it and a tenancy you control.
91% of New Zealand organisations use AI and 4% say it has changed core operations (Datacom State of AI Index, 2026); the gap is platform readiness, not model choice. We build the data foundations, deploy AI services inside your own Azure or AWS tenancy with residency understood and documented, and put governance, cost control and human oversight around agents. In practice that means data pipelines on Airflow and Spark with PostgreSQL or Cosmos DB behind them, search on Azure AI Search or Elasticsearch, models through Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Vision or Amazon Bedrock, and conversational agents such as Cognigy running on AKS, all provisioned as code on the same platform as everything else you run.
- 05 — Landing zones for New Zealand and Australia
Foundations in New Zealand and Australia that the next ten projects land on.
The newer cloud regions on both sides of the Tasman do not carry every service yet, so a real design spans New Zealand and Australia and records exactly what lives where. We build landing zones as code with networking, identity, policy and cost controls settled once, and with the sovereignty and risk questions answered before an assessor or a board asks them.
- 06 — Platform engineering and operations
Pipelines, observability and platform ownership that survive changes in your team.
Releases should be boring and incidents should be short. We build the delivery pipelines, observability and incident practice around the platforms we build, and we stay on as platform owners for as long as you need us, with the scope written down. Application changes flow through GitOps with ArgoCD, and infrastructure changes through pull requests that Atlantis plans and applies, so every change to a cluster or a landing zone is reviewed, recorded and reversible, and nobody runs commands by hand against production.

escola.co.nzMost of our work is building and running platforms for other people. Every so often we take on a product as well, when it is built properly and its market needs the kind of engineering we do. Escola is the current one. It is a European preschool management platform that KubeIT is licensed to sell in New Zealand, and we do more than resell it: our engineers adapt and extend it for how New Zealand centres work, from local hosting and wording to the features local practice and regulation call for. We chose early childhood because centres run on the goodwill of people who have no IT team and too much paper, and because children's records deserve the same care we give a bank's: encrypted, consent-controlled, and deletable on request.
We started KubeIT to do the opposite: senior people from the first workshop to the last handover, and platforms your own engineers can run.
Michal works from New Zealand. Adrian and Stanisław work from Europe, which means a senior engineer is awake and on your platform across New Zealand and Australian business hours and through the night. There is no bench, no hand-off to a junior team, and no account manager between you and the person doing the work.
